He is a widower with a daughter named Evie. He is a traditional boat builder who makes Ness Yoals, which are traditional Shetland boats, and he is very keen on preserving the traditional island way of life. Cameron is one of the major leaders of a protest group that is opposed to a gas company who wants to lay a pipe across the island.
He is a very controlling character, especially with his daughter Evie.
