Series 4, Episode 2 is the second episode of the fourth series of the Scottish television crime drama Shetland. It first aired on 20 February 2018 and is based on the characters and settings as depicted in the Shetland Island series of novels by English author Ann Cleeves.
Synopsis[]
DI Perez is on the trail of an attacker, Tosh investigates an oil company in the hunt for Sally's killer, and DNA testing in the Kilmuir case yields a surprising result.
Plot[]
Having survived the attempt on his life Tommy calls on Jimmy, who believes that he did not kill Sally. Sally's boyfriend Alan Killick is a suspect in Tommy's abduction but his DNA suggests that his father murdered Lizzie, leading to an exhumation and confrontation with Drew's informer Benny Ray. The hunt for Sally's murderer switches to the oil company Forst Energy and its agent on Shetland, Andreas Hagan, whom Sally met in Norway regarding the cover-up of worker Danny Hamilton's death but Danny's widow gives Alison no help, causing her to fly to Bergen.
