Series 4, Episode 4 is the fourth episode of the fourth series of the Scottish television crime drama Shetland. It first aired on 6 March 2018 and is based on the characters and settings as depicted in the Shetland Island series of novels by English author Ann Cleeves.
Synopsis[]
Ignoring Norwegian secret service warnings to the contrary, DI Perez and Tosh track down Mathias Søderland, as the murder mystery continues.
Plot[]
Jimmy and Alison learn that Soderlund is an undercover agent working to expose the NDA for the Norwegian secret service but when they find him his cover has been blown and he has been killed. They return to Shetland for Sally's memorial service where Kate and Tommy's affair is revealed and he is still a suspect. Another resident, Jo, is found to have been enamoured of Alan whilst Alison receives a welcome visitor and another crime is reported.
