	On the remote and wind-blown Fair Isle, Jimmy Perez attends his mother’s funeral. At the wake, it’s clear that his father, James, is having trouble with his memory, but it’s then that Tosh calls to inform him that Alex Galbraith has been shot dead on his doorstep in broad daylight. A prominent lawyer, Galbraith was known across the Isles and notorious for securing the compassionate release from prison of Donna Killick, the murderer of Lizzie.

	Perez and Tosh board the dive boat to investigate this latest death. Was this a tragic accident, or was the only witness to Galbraith's murder silenced before they could speak? Suspicion falls on Mick Muir, the Life Support Supervisor responsible for diver safety - and when he is attacked by angry crew members, he has to be rushed to hospital. Perez senses the hand of organized crime, but getting answers proves difficult.

	The race is on to catch Sandy's attacker before he can escape Shetland, while Lynda Morton finds herself in trouble, so she desperately calls Perez for help - offering a key name for his investigation in return. Blood from the recent break-in throws up a DNA match that leads to another murder suspect, and a shocking confession causes tensions to boil over, sowing the seeds of further violence.
	Series 6, Episode 4	10 November 2021 - UK 30 November 2021 - U.S.	30	6.04
	After the shocking events of the previous night, Perez must piece together what happened before a rampaging and vengeful Creggan finds his target. Eve denies any involvement and has an alibi, while Tosh visits Maurice Ross to find out why Galbraith was paying for his care. At the religious retreat on Whalsay, Sister Carolyn receives a threatening postcard and quickly packs her bags.

	Fiona Bedford tells Perez that Darren was tracking her phone and probably knew about her affair with Galbraith. Tosh learns that Niven paid off Carrie McAndrew's debts just before Eamon's accident. Jimmy and Tosh look into MarieAnne Ross' disappearance and learn she was best friends with Sister Carolyn, then known as Lynn Richardson. Lynn admits she helped Galbraith, Niven, and Darren cover-up MarieAnne's death. She is then attacked while on the phone with Jimmy. Perez supports Maggie's petition to have Donna relocated from the island. Donna gets Duncan to help her commit suicide by putting her medication in her hot chocolate. Perez realises what happened but covers it up.
	Series 6, Episode 6	24 November 2021 - UK 14 December 2021 - U.S.	32	6.06
	Lynn dies in hospital. The police arrest Bedford and Niven. It transpires Marrie-Anne died of an overdose from drugs Galbraith and Niven gave her and they buried her body in secret. Tosh discovers Niven got Carrie to tamper with the valve on the ship to give Eamon a scare. Perez realises Merran recognised her mother's doorbell ring when her father was killed: Eve murdered Alex to stop him revealing the truth about Marrie-Anne, having Sister Carolyn drive her car in Lerwick to give her an alibi, then had Niven kill Carolyn. Tosh discovers she is pregnant. Donna filed a letter with her lawyer claiming Duncan was going to kill her and make it look like suicide, and Jimmy would cover it up. Duncan turns himself in for assisting suicide to protect Jimmy, but Jimmy is arrested anyway.
